Amman: The First Gulf-Jordan Investment Conference began today, inaugurated by Minister of Investment Muthanna Al-Gharaibeh, representing His Majesty King Abdullah II. The event is being held at the King Hussein Bin Talal Convention Center located at the Dead Sea, organized by the Jordan Chamber of Commerce and the Federation of GCC Chambers.
According to Jordan News Agency, the conference is themed “Partnerships, Investment, Economic Integration,” and aims to explore cooperation and investment opportunities in several promising sectors within Jordan. The event sees participation from notable figures such as Jassim Mohamed Al-Budaiwi, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), and heads and members of boards of directors from GCC chambers of commerce and industry. Additionally, Gulf business leaders, investors in Jordan, Jordanian entrepreneurs, and representatives from both the public and private sectors are present.
The discussions throughout the conference are focused on strengthening inves
tment and trade relations between Jordan and the Gulf countries. This initiative aims to build on the success of numerous Gulf investments that have significantly contributed to the Jordanian economy. Various sessions will cover sectors where Jordan holds competitive advantages, including tourism, information technology, mining, creative industries, and energy.
Furthermore, the conference will host the 65th meeting of the GCC Federation of Chambers’ Board of Directors. This meeting, held for the first time outside the GCC, signifies the growing ties between Jordan and the Gulf nations.
