Amman: Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Major General Yousef Huneiti, met on Thursday with Commander of the Air Support Command of the Japan Air Self-Defense Force, Lieutenant General Takehiro Morita, and his accompanying delegation to discuss strengthening military ties.
According to Jordan News Agency, the meeting focused on exploring avenues for cooperation between the armed forces of Jordan and Japan, with particular emphasis on training programs and the exchange of expertise. The discussions aimed at fostering a deeper understanding and collaboration on military strategies and operations.
Additionally, the two sides reviewed regional developments and considered opportunities for enhanced collaboration in light of ongoing challenges in the Middle East. The conversation underscored the mutual interest in addressing security issues and promoting stability in the region.
Lieutenant General Morita acknowledged Jordan’s pivotal role in fostering regional security and stability. He emphasized the impor
tance of maintaining a continued partnership between Jordan and Japan, noting the benefits of a strong alliance in addressing regional and global security concerns.
