Amman: The government has announced the approval of several decisions aimed at modernizing the economic and public sectors, with particular focus on enhancing the efficiency of human resources and improving service delivery to citizens. In a move aligned with public sector modernization requirements, the cabinet has endorsed the draft statute of the Institute of Public Administration (IPA) for 2024. This initiative is designed to strengthen the IPA’s role in empowering public sector employees, boosting their skills, and preparing leaders to enhance governmental operations.
According to Jordan News Agency, the amendments include the introduction of a Board of Trustees to replace the current Steering Committee. This board will consist of volunteer members led by the Minister in charge of Public Sector Development. The new governance structure aims to foster collaboration between public and private sectors, leveraging stakeholder expertise to advance the IPA’s mission. Additionally, the amendments support the d
igital transformation of the IPA, aligning with Human Resources Management Regulation No. (33) of 2024.
The cabinet has also sanctioned a regulation to amend the administrative organization of the Zakat Fund for 2024. This change is intended to revamp the fund’s organizational structure, establish new administrative units, and enhance service delivery. Key initiatives include free rehabilitation projects, support for impoverished families, orphan sponsorship, home repairs for needy families, and the construction of housing.
Moreover, the Council of Ministers approved the draft administrative organization regulation for the Housing and Urban Development Corporation (HUDC) for 2024. The regulation seeks to improve HUDC’s planning, policy-making, and leadership functions. It focuses on two main tracks: the “production track” to address citizens’ housing needs and the “policy track” to oversee the housing sector.

he Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the Indonesian Ministry of Religious Affairs. This agreement aims to foster educational collaboration, including program development, expertise exchange, and mutual recognition of educational institutions, as well as the exchange of professors, students, and scholarships.
