Doha: Qatari newspapers hailed in their editorials Thursday the comprehensive speech of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani during the opening session of the General Debate of 79th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA 79) on Tuesday. The newspapers described the speech as clear, powerful, and sincere, as it expressed the feelings of millions of Arabs, Muslims, and peace- and justice-loving people around the world.
The newspapers noted that HH the Amir’s speech, which was widely welcomed in the Arab and Palestinian streets, was comprehensive in its visions and conveyed strong messages that reflected the State of Qatar’s firm stances, whether in defending Arab issues, which have taken center stage at the UN, or in building peace, enhancing cooperation, and fostering development.
On another issue, the newspapers emphasized the State of Qatar’s belief that strengthening the family is a key factor for societal stability and growth, away from wars, conflicts, and dangerous social problems that occasional

Al-Arab daily said that HH the Amir’s comprehensive speech at the 79th UN General Assembly in New York garnered widespread Arab and international attention. The speech conveyed visions and strong messages that embodied the State of Qatar’s firm positions, whether in defending Arab causes that have become priorities at the UN or in promoting peace, cooperation, and development.
