Doha: In their editorials on Friday, Qatari newspapers highlighted the horrific repercussions of 300 days of Israeli aggression against the Gaza Strip.
The newspapers criticized the international communitys failure to stop the Israeli occupation from conducting hundreds of airstrikes and intense artillery bombardments, warning of the risk of the entire Middle East descending into chaos.
In this context, Al-Raya newspaper stressed that humanity has spectacularly failed to protect the defenseless Palestinian people, as over 300 days have passed since the brutal and ongoing Israeli aggression against the Gaza Strip.
The editorial pointed out that among the crimes perpetrated by the occupation forces is the war on the Palestinian existence itself. Israel has devastated the Strip and turned it upside down, crossing all red lines. There is no atrocity left that Israel has not committed, from random killings to targeted assassinations, deliberate displacement, burying martyrs alive, and destroying hospitals, scho
ols, shelters, and mosques, leaving no safe place in Gaza.
The newspaper noted that the occupation seeks to eliminate witnesses to its crimes to conceal its reality from the world, pointing out that it is intensifying its attacks on journalists in the Palestinian territories through killings, harassment, and pursuing their families.
The newspaper concluded by criticizing the world’s failure, as it remained a bystander, expressing concern over the massacres in Gaza without being able to stop the occupations crimes and protect the besieged people who have been left alone to be targets of the Israeli war machine and criminality.
In turn, Al-Sharq stated in its editorial that after 300 days of the genocidal war, the Israeli entity confirms once again that it is nothing but a rogue state. The international community must confront it and prevent the outbreak of a regional war, as this rogue state is pushing the entire Middle East towards a state of chaos, threatening international peace and security.
