Colonists stormed Monday the courtyards of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque in Occupied Jerusalem (Al-Quds), under the protection of the Israeli occupation police.
Palestinian news agency (WAFA) quoted eyewitnesses as saying that different groups of colonists broke into Al-Aqsa Mosque from the Maghrebi Gate, and carried out provocative tours throughout its courtyards, guarded by the occupation police.
The occupation police deployed hundreds of its elements at close distances, especially at the gates of Al-Aqsa, effectively turning the area into a military zone. They also imposed restrictions on the entry of Palestinian worshipers to the mosque.
Incursions by colonists and extremists into Al-Aqsa Mosque in the occupied Al-Quds have increased since the beginning of the Israeli genocide on the Gaza Strip on Oct. 7, 2023.
