Notably, the International Telecommunication Union asserts that 70% of sustainable development goals can be met through digital technologies, opening up new opportunities across various sectors like business, education, health, and industry, as well as humanitarian efforts. As a key member of the International Telecommunication Union, Yemen's ICT sector actively participates in this commemoration, serving as the nation's primary provider of communication and technology services. Despite challenges, including external restrictions and blockades, Yemen's communication sector remains resilient, providing vital services upon which various sectors rely. Despite operational costs es calating due to aggression and siege, the sector has improved the quality and affordability of communication services, deploying fourth-generation networks, broadband, national networking, and cloud computing. Moreover, it fosters youth participation in technological innovation. Yet, the sector faces ongoing impediments, including the widening digital gap exacerbated by persistent complexities and obstacles like blockades and attacks. These challenges hinder the sector's full potential and impact the Yemeni populace, perpetuating human and economic suffering. The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology in Yemen reaffirms its commitment to advancing the communications sector in the country, ensuring responsible engagement with global partners, and providing high-quality communication services nationwide. It calls on international organizations to support the sector's preservation and avoid involvement in political agendas that may disrupt it. The ministry emphasizes the importance of safeguard ing communication infrastructure and enabling local projects, urging an end to blockades hindering equipment and supplies. It stresses the significance of communication services for citizens' rights, poverty alleviation, and sustainable development.
