8,432 Students to Sit for Winter Session of Shamel Exam at Al Balqa Applied University

Amman: The winter session of the theoretical Shamel exam, the comprehensive final exam for community college students, is set to begin Wednesday and run through February 11, as per the schedule released on the official website of the Assessment and Public Examinations Unit at Al Balqa Applied University (BAU).

According to Jordan News Agency, BAU President and Chairman of the Higher Committee for the Shamel Exam, Dr. Ahmed Ajlouni, announced that all necessary procedures have been completed to commence the theoretical exams for this winter session. Dr. Ajlouni highlighted that 8,432 students from 55 university and intermediate colleges supervised by BAU will participate in the exams.

Dr. Ajlouni further elaborated that 6,282 students are set to take the first paper, while 6,635 will sit for the second exam on Saturday, February 7. Additionally, 7,637 students are scheduled to attend the third exam on Tuesday and Wednesday, February 10 and 11.

The exams will cover 20 academic programs, which include 120 specializations, and the process will be entirely automated. Dr. Ajlouni mentioned that 18 halls have been allocated at 14 written exam centers across the country, with about 600 invigilators appointed to oversee the examination process.
