Amman: Director General of the National Aid Fund (NAF), Khitam Shenikat, emphasized the significance of national partnerships in supporting economic and social empowerment initiatives and strengthening efforts to empower households benefiting from the fund’s programs.
According to Jordan News Agency, Shenikat made these remarks during an inspection tour of the Garment Design and Training Services Center. The visit was aimed at monitoring the progress of current machine embroidery techniques courses, which are part of a joint cooperation agreement. The ongoing initiative targets 38 participants from households that benefit from aid programs, aiming to equip them with specialized professional skills to facilitate their integration into the labor market.
The NAF stated that this effort is intended to alleviate the economic burdens of the trainees. This initiative aligns with the National Social Protection Strategy and the NAF’s strategy in the economic empowerment field.
During her tour, Shenikat reviewed the training process and stressed the importance of continuing to offer professional programs tailored to meet the labor market’s needs. These courses are part of the NAF’s broader training programs, conducted in partnership with several stakeholders, under the fund’s strategic plan to empower beneficiary families and enhance their self-reliance.
