Amman: The Jordanian Seismological Observatory of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources recorded a 3-magnitude tremor that jolted the Sea of Galilee region on Monday. The tremor struck at 4:40 PM at a depth of 10 kilometers, said head of the observatory, Ghassan Sweidan.
According to Jordan News Agency, the tremor was monitored closely by the seismological experts in the region. The observatory has been actively tracking seismic activities to provide timely information and ensure public safety in the surrounding areas.
The Sea of Galilee, known for its historical and geographical significance, occasionally experiences seismic activities. Authorities are continually working on improving the infrastructure and preparedness measures to mitigate any potential impact of such tremors on the local communities.
