The National Library and the Jordan Library and Information Association are gearing up for the second edition of the International Conference on Libraries and Archives in Jordan, which will open October 5th through October 7th.
This year’s conference, which will take place at the National Library, is titled: “One Hundred Years of Founding, Building and Strengthening”, celebrating the Kingdom’s centenary. It aims to highlight the National Library development and achievements and document the history of Jordan’s libraries and national archives, as well as other information and manuscripts centers.
The event will bring together researchers from Jordan, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Iraq, Lebanon, Egypt, Palestine, Algeria and Tunisia, in addition to the Arab Federation for Libraries and Information, and the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions.
