Amman: The selling price of a gram of 21-karat gold, the most popular among citizens in the local market, reached JD97.50 at jewelry shops on Tuesday morning, compared with JD93.20 for purchases.
According to Jordan News Agency, a preliminary bulletin issued by the General Association for Owners of Jewellery and Goldsmith Shops reported that the selling prices per gram of 24-karat, 18-karat, and 14-karat gold stood at JD111.60, JD86.30, and JD67.50, respectively.
The association stated in an accompanying announcement that the pricing functions as an indicative reference only. Consumers are urged to follow real-time prices via electronic display screens, which have been installed in jewellery shops since the beginning of the month, providing continuous live updates of gold prices.
