The directorate emphasized the importance of not approaching or handling any objects found or seen falling, as they may contain highly hazardous explosive materials.

According to Jordan News Agency, the PSD stated that if air raid sirens are activated, individuals must remain where they are, whether at home or other locations, and stay away from windows and exposed areas. The authority further urged the public to avoid gathering near any detected debris or foreign objects, emphasizing the importance of allowing specialized emergency teams the necessary space to investigate and handle such situations.

Citizens have been called upon to immediately report sightings of falling objects, drones, or rockets, as well as any resulting casualties or property damage, by calling the unified emergency number (911). The directorate strongly warned against touching, opening, or moving any object of unknown shape or origin due to the immediate risk to life. It highlighted the crucial need to raise awareness within families, particularly among children, regarding the dangers of tampering with unfamiliar items.

Jordan Education Official Reports High Enrollment in Badia Vocational Programs

Badia: A total of 400 male and female students are currently enrolled in five accredited vocational and technical training streams in the northeastern Badia region, a local education official said on Sunday.

According to Jordan News Agency, Abdullah Al-Shorafat, Director of the Northeastern Badia District Education Directorate, stated that the accredited programs are distributed across four specialized schools, including one designated for female students. The curriculum comprises cosmetology for female students and engineering sub-specialties such as general electricity and automotive technology, as well as tracks in agricultural education, business, and information technology.

Al-Shorafat highlighted that these enrollment figures indicate a growing shift among students toward vocational and technical education. This trend is largely attributed to the sector’s ability to provide graduates with direct entry into the workforce and offer new career paths tailored to regional labor market demands.

The directorate has taken steps to support this educational path by establishing institutional links, signing agreements, and cooperation memorandums with Al al-Bayt University and the Northeastern Badia Vocational Training Institute. These partnerships aim to equip vocational students with hands-on training and practical experience necessary in their respective fields.

Al-Shorafat further noted that the directorate plans to introduce new vocational and technical tracks to meet local community and market needs. This expansion will depend on the development of necessary infrastructure and student interest in the proposed specialties.
