Orange Jordan and AlOun Jordan Association Unite for Digital Solutions in Alzheimer’s Care


Amman: Orange Jordan signed a cooperation agreement with the AlOun Jordan Association for Alzheimer’s Disease to provide advanced digital hosting solutions and technical support.



According to Jordan News Agency, the agreement includes hosting the society’s digital systems and enhancing its operational efficiency.



The agreement, signed by Orange CEO Philippe Mansour and AlOun Jordan Association for Alzheimer Chair Reem Abu Hassan, provides for the implementation of an iris-scanning system for individuals with dementia. The system aims to help identify affected individuals and facilitate their safe return to their families in cases where they become lost, in cooperation with the Public Security Directorate (PSD).



Mansour said the partnership reflects Orange’s commitment to supporting impactful and sustainable community initiatives through innovative digital solutions. Abu Hassan, in turn, said that the agreement would strengthen the society’s work, expand its services and enable it to reach more families affected by the disease.

Lebanon: Death Toll from Israeli War Rises to 2,020


Amman: The death toll from the ongoing Israeli aggression on Lebanon between March 2 and April 11 has risen to 2,020, with 6,436 people injured, the Lebanese Ministry of Health announced Saturday.



According to Jordan News Agency, the Ministry stated that more than 15 people were killed or wounded in an Israeli airstrike on Saturday targeting the town of Tuffahta in southern Lebanon.



The Ministry condemned the repeated targeting of medical personnel as a blatant violation of international humanitarian law. It added that the Israeli violations would be documented and pursued through international legal channels to safeguard the rights of those serving in humanitarian roles.
