2025 General Budget to Align with Citizens’ Aspirations, Says LH Speaker

Amman: Speaker of the Lower House of Representatives, Mazen Qadi, on Tuesday emphasized the necessity of approving the Kingdom’s General Budget Law 2025, while ensuring thorough and precise discussions with relevant stakeholders.

According to Jordan News Agency, Qadi mentioned that the budget deliberations are taking place alongside the launch of the executive program for the Economic Modernization Vision’s (EMV) second phase. This program aims to achieve growth that is both comprehensive and sustainable, ultimately leading to an improved quality of life for citizens.

During a meeting of the Finance Committee on Tuesday, attended by Committee Chairman Nimer Sleihat, committee members, and Minister of Finance Abdul Hakim Shibli, Qadi remarked that the House is dedicated to overseeing the vision as a national project that surpasses individual governments, in fulfillment of its constitutional duty and in line with Royal directives.

Qadi expressed the House’s confidence in the Finance Committee’s chairman and members, stating, “We look forward to reaching decisions and recommendations that meet the citizens’ aspirations.”
