12th Palestinian-Jordanian Business Forum Launches in Amman with Focus on Economic Partnerships

Amman: The 12th Palestinian-Jordanian Business Forum (PJBF), themed "Partnership and Business Meeting," commenced in Amman, gathering more than 250 business leaders from Jordan and Palestine. The event aims to bolster bilateral trade and foster economic partnerships between the two nations.

According to Jordan News Agency, the forum witnessed the presence of Trkiye's Ambassador to Jordan, Yakup Caymazoglu, President of the Jordan and Amman Chambers of Industry, Fathi Jaghbir, and commercial attach©s from the Tunisian, Pakistani, Chinese, and Turkish embassies. Jaghbir, speaking at the opening ceremony, emphasized the importance of such forums in strengthening ties among business leaders and promoting investment partnerships. He highlighted Jordan's industrial sector's goal to boost exports to Palestine by enhancing collaboration with the Palestinian private sector and overcoming challenges posed by Israel.

Ambassador Caymazoglu expressed Trkiye's interest in expanding investments in Jordan and contributing to the development of the industrial capacities of both Jordanian and Palestinian sectors. He noted that Turkish companies are eager to invest in the region and build partnerships, with Jordan being recognized as a symbol of security and stability, providing a significant economic advantage.

Nazmi Al-Atma, Chairman of the forum's board, highlighted the participation of Palestinian counterparts from the Nablus Businessmen Forum and the Hebron Business Forum. He stated that this collaboration strengthens trade exchange between Jordan and Palestine, offering a platform for business leaders to showcase their companies and establish direct communication. With involvement from approximately 32 Palestinian companies, the engagement covers a wide range of sectors, including food, chemicals, furniture, timber, pharmaceuticals, medical supplies, and vehicle trade.

Jihad Al-Banna, President of the Nablus Businessmen Forum, described the forum as a strategic platform for exchanging expertise, building trust, and opening new horizons for joint cooperation and investment. He emphasized that the forum provides a genuine opportunity to launch new partnerships, enhance private-sector cooperation in both countries, and create tangible investment opportunities across various sectors. He characterized this cooperation as a strategic step toward regional integration and sustainable development.
