An Arab national died and six others were injured on Monday when part of the roof of a floor under construction in Amman collapsed.
Rescue teams at the Central Amman Civil Defense Directorate, supported by the East Amman Civil Defense Directorate, the International Jordanian Search and Rescue Team, and the Central Amman Police Directorate, rushed to the scene in the Al Yasmeen area, eastren Amman, according to the Public Security Department (PSD) spokesperson.
Among the injured (all of whom are Arab nationals) was a person who was trapped under the rubble, as search teams utilized all available capabilities to evacuate him, while ambulance teams evacuated the bodies and injuries to Al-Hamayda Hospital to receive the necessary treatment, the PSD spokesperson explained.
