YSMO destroys goods contrary to specifications in Hodeida and Al-Rahida

Yemen Standardization, Metrology and Quality Control Organization (YSMO) destroyed various goods and merchandise contrary to the standard specifications approved in Hodeida and Al-Rahida. The authority explained in a statement issued by it, a copy of which was received by Saba, that it destroyed, in cooperation with customs, the Violations and Housing Prosecution and the competent authorities in the port of Hodeidah, a quantity of electrical connections contrary to specifications because there were no protection shutters on the socket openings, and a quantity of electrical transformers because there were no protection shutters for their openings. The statement pointed out that a quantity of Chinese-made gas regulators marked Made in Italy and a quantity of wafer candy were destroyed at Al-Rahida crossing, in cooperation with customs and security agencies, due to the writing of the expiry date (18) months on the external packages, while it is written valid for (6) months on the individual packages. He point ed out that the destruction process was carried out in accordance with the law and the powers vested in the authority as the first line of defense for the citizen. In its statement, the authority called on all producers, importers and manufacturers to abide by the requirements of import, transport, storage, production and manufacturing in accordance with the requirements and requirements of technical regulations, specifications and standards.
