\nAmman: Following their exchange of bombardments on militant targets within each other’s territory this week, Pakistan and Iran have “agreed to de-escalate” tensions, according to Islamabad.<\/p>\n
According to the official media of the two nations, a statement released by the foreign ministers of Pakistan and Iran on a call stated that the two officials agreed on the necessity of stepping up working-level cooperation and close coordination on counterterrorism and other areas of shared interest.<\/p>\n
Pakistan retaliated to Iran’s Tuesday night missile attack and drone strikes on what it called “terrorist” targets in Pakistan by hitting militant targets inside Iranian territory on Thursday.<\/p>\n
