They underlined the importance of supporting employment programs by focusing on implementing productive projects that provide job opportunities, especially for women and housewives, and facilitating their licensing by the the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority\u2019s (ASEZA), in addition to establishing a permanent exhibition for industries and handicrafts.<\/P>

They also stressed the importance of improving educational services, especially vocational and technical education, through the establishment of an industrial school, in addition to health services through the provision and creation of medical specializations in cooperation between the public and private sectors and the Royal Medical Services, lauding the royal directive to establish a club for the deaf.<\/P>
<\/P>
They called for developing legislation regulating the ASEZA’s work, devising a strategic plan to develop the region within a timetable and specific criteria, eliminating bureaucracy, and adopting a single window to ease the burden on investors, facilitate procedures and attract tourists.<\/P>
<\/P>
They also called for establishing a branch of the Royal Hashemite Court’s Public Services Office in Aqaba, as well as establishing a club for military retirees.<\/P>
<\/P>
They called for establishing a comprehensive medical complex, in addition to improving the infrastructure and the culture landscape, establishing a palace of culture to support and develop the cultural movement in the city.<\/P>
<\/P>
At the end of the meeting, Issawi said that all demands and needs that were addressed will be submitted to the King, and will be coordinated with competent authorities to be examined and followed-up according to priorities and capabilities and in line with the government’s plans and programs and with follow-up from the Royal Hashemite Court.<\/P>
<\/P>
For his part, ASEZA Chief Commissioner, Nayef Al Fayez, the development that the city is witnessing is under the follow-up and directives of His Majesty King Abdullah and His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II.<\/P>

“Aqaba has seen qualitative shift and great achievements over the past years that we seek to improve and achieve more,” Al Fayez added.<\/P>
<\/P>
He stressed that demands raised during this meeting, will be the focus of attention and review to achieve the required justice and development.<\/P>

Adviser to His Majesty for Tribal Affairs Atef Hajaya, ASEZA Chief Commissioner Nayef Al Fayez, and Aqaba Governor Khaled Hajjaj attended the meeting.<\/P>
