The Kingdom\u2019s tourism revenues recorded an increase of about $273 million in November 2021, compared with the same month of last year, reaching $331.5 million.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
The hike is attributed to the high number of tourists during last November, who increased by 253 thousand to reach 302k, according to Central Bank of Jordan (CBJ) data.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
The tourism income by the end of November went up by 78.5% to reach $2.4 billion, as a result of the increase in the tourists’ numbers by 78%, reaching 2.109 million in the month, the CBJ said.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, non-resident Jordanians comprised 42.4 per cent of the total tourism revenues, followed by income from Arab countries at 28.2%, and then visitors from the Gulf Cooperation Council countries with 14.6%, the bank’s figures showed.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
