King Hussein bin Talal’s Royal Armored Brigade\/40, a formation of the Central Military Region (CMR), on Thursday carried out a tactical exercise conducted by the CMR’s “Lions of Yarmouk” units.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
The drill seeks to check on the brigade’s capability to carry out its operational duties with “high” preparedness to respond to future threats, in line with the military and technological development that emerged in the modern warfare, according to Jordan Armed Forces (JAF)-Arab Army statement.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
The exercise comes within the framework of the Royal directives aimed to keep the JAF on a “high” level of operational readiness to deal with any challenges in the future strategic operational environment, the statement added.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
The drill also aims to test the brigade’s combat preparedness and its capability to plan and execute operations in scenarios similar to real operations, in a “realistic and thoughtful” manner, the statement pointed out.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Major Gen. Yousef Huneiti, was briefed from JAF’s Assistant for Operations and Training, on the brigade’s collective training, which lasted for a three- month period.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
Speaking at the closing ceremony of the exercise, Huneiti conveyed the King’s greetings to the participants, lauding their “high” morale, combat efficiency and skill in using weapons and equipment and carrying out duties “professionally.”<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
