Head of the Jordan Chamber of Industry (JCI), Fathi Jaghbir, inaugurated “Al-Dar” center in the courtyard of the Intercontinental Jordan Hotel, under “Made in Jordan” slogan, to showcase a carefully selected quality handicrafts.<\/P>
<\/P>
In a JIC statement on Saturday, the center displays clothing, textile, home furniture and accessories products made by Jordanian designers and charities working to help poor families and people with special needs.<\/P>
<\/P>
Jaghbir said the handmade exhibits are inspired by Jordanian heritage, which reflect their makers’ creativity.<\/P>
<\/P>
The center “constantly” displays products of designers, craftsmen and associations, with the aim of supporting these sectors by providing display and sale outlets, according to Jaghbir.<\/P>
<\/P>
Head of the “Made in Jordan” campaign, Dr. Iyad Abu Haltam, said the initiative aims to promote national industrial products and handicrafts, and create a consumer culture among citizens that favors national products.<\/P>
<\/P>
“Our national industries enjoy high quality and competitive prices,” he said, stressing the campaign’s keenness that made-in -Jordan products conform to local and international specifications.<\/P>
<\/P>
The Ministry of Health announced 12 Covid-19 fatalities and 1, 022 new cases were recorded in the Kingdom on Saturday, bringing the death toll to 11,028 and the caseload to 860, 818.<\/P>
<\/P>
To date, there are currently 20, 701 cases countrywide, according to the media statement issued by the Prime Ministry and the Ministry of Health.<\/P>
<\/P>
The statement added that the number of patients who were admitted to hospitals today stood at 94, while 50 cases have recovered and discharged.<\/P>
<\/P>
According to the briefing, the total number of recoveries recorded Saturday, whether at hospitals or at home, stood at 1, 372 bringing the total to 829,089 since the outbreak began.<\/P>

Moreover, the number of Covid-19 patients still receiving treatment at hospitals countrywide has reached 593.<\/P>
<\/P>
The statement also indicated that occupancy of ICU beds in the northern, central and southern regions, has has reached 33%, 27%, and 12%, respectively.<\/P>
<\/P>
With regard to testing, 21, 666 tests were conducted Saturday, 4.72 percent of which were positive.<\/P>
<\/P>
Since March 2020, the total number of tests administered has increased to 10,938, 101, the joint statement noted.<\/P>
