Safadi underscored the importance of efforts under the trilateral cooperation mechanism with Egypt in promoting cooperation and integration in a way that serves the interests of the three countries and the region, and promotes joint Arab cooperation.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
He added that the ministerial committee at the level of foreign ministers, which emerged from the conference, will develop future mechanisms to move forward in the implementation of the conference’s outcome to achieve political, economic and security partnerships, and consolidate the cooperation that serves common interests, expressing the kingdom’s hope to host the conference next year in Amman.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
Participants in the ministerial meeting expressed their support for the Iraqi government and its efforts to establish security and stability in Iraq, and they stressed the importance of holding parliamentary elections on time next October, and providing regional support for the reconstruction of Iraq.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
In addition, Safadi and Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan held bilateral talks yesterday evening, on confirming the keenness of the two kingdoms to continue strengthening historical and fraternal ties and cooperation in various fields, as per directives of His Majesty King Abdullah and Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, His Majesty King Salman bin Abdulaziz.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
Safadi congratulated Prince Faisal on the occasion of the Saudi 91st National Day.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
The two ministers reviewed regional developments, stressing the importance of activating joint Arab action against challenges and crises facing the region.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
The foreign minister also continued holding bilateral meetings today on the sidelines of the 76th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
Safadi met with Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu to discuss ways to enhance bilateral ties, particularly political, economic, trade, cultural and educational relations.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
Safadi said relations between the two countries are strong and there is common concern to develop them in various fields, especially economic and trade ties.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
