{"id":51408,"date":"2021-09-18T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2021-09-18T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/jordannewsgazette.com\/?guid=39e06f0a4139ed8b5816c4144114246d"},"modified":"2021-09-18T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"2021-09-18T00:00:00","slug":"youth-volunteer-work-team-to-combat-covid-launched","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/jordannewsgazette.com\/youth-volunteer-work-team-to-combat-covid-launched\/","title":{"rendered":"Youth volunteer work team to combat COVID launched"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><P>The Ministry of Interior, in cooperation with the Government of Norway and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in Jordan, launched Saturday a youth volunteer work team to combat the coronavirus (Covid-19).<\/P><P><\/P><P>The team will work with local communities with the aim of increasing the vaccination rate and raising awareness of preventive measures to confront the coronavirus pandemic in the Kingdom.<\/P><P><\/P><P>The initiative aims to form a team of 240 trained and qualified young volunteers, male and female, from all governorates.<\/P><P><\/P><P>The volunteers will undergo capacity-building training courses in order to qualify them to work at the local level to raise awareness of the core messages of the initiative, and they will be accompanied by field inspection teams at the Ministry of Interior with the aim of encouraging citizens to register for the coronavirus vaccine and raise awareness of other prevention measures.<\/P><P><\/P><P>60 people representing the governorates of Balqa, Jerash and Madaba participated in the first phase of the launching ceremony.<\/P><P><\/P><P>In a speech at the launch ceremony, Interior Minister, Mazen Faraya, presented key government efforts to address the pandemic since the outbreak of the virus until today.<\/P><P><\/P><P>Faraya pointed out that the fight against the pandemic began with modest capabilities, but it has proven successful in reducing the impact of the pandemic on society, economically and socially &#8220;until we were able to deal with the repercussions of the pandemic from various aspects.&#8221;<\/P><P><\/P><P>SOURCE: JORDAN NEWS AGENCY<\/P><P><\/P><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Ministry of Interior, in cooperation with the Government of Norway and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in Jordan, launched Saturday a youth volunteer work team to combat the coronavirus (Covid-19).The team will work with local communi&#8230;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[27],"tags":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v22.6 -
