The Ministry of Health announced that 9 Covid-19 fatalities and 311 new cases were recorded in the Kingdom on Saturday, bringing the death toll 9,656 and the caseload to 745,978.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
There are currently 6,659 active COVID-19 cases in Jordan, announced the media statement issued by the Prime Ministry and the Ministry of Health.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
The statement added that the number of hospitalizations today stood at 58, while 44 patients have recovered and discharged.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
Moreover, the number of Covid-19 patients still receiving treatment at hospitals countrywide has reached 470.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
According to the briefing, the occupancy of the ICU bed capacity has hit 11 percent, 26 percent, and 5 percent, in the northern, central, and southern regions, respectively.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
With regard to testing, 15,240 tests were conducted today, 2.04 percent of which were positive.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
Since March, 2020, the total number of tests administered has increased to 7,657,848, the statement noted.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
The statement added that 2,043,855 people received the first Covid-19 vaccine dose countrywide, while the tally of 2nd jab recipients hit 870,480, noting 3,010,396 people have so far registered on the gov’t platform designed to arrange schedule of vaccine rollout.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
