West Asian Para Games kicks off in Amman
Amman, Deputizing for HRH Prince Faisal Bin Al Hussein, President of the Jordan Olympic Committee (JOC)and Member of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), HRH Prince Ra’ad bin Zeid sponsored on Monday the opening ceremony of the 2nd West Asian Paralympic Games to be hosted by Jordan through 15-22 September.
The games will see the participation of more than 700 athletes and administrators, representing all 12 of the West Asian countries.
The UAE, Bahrain, Kuwait, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Iraq, Oman, Palestine, Qatar, Yemen and Jordan are participating in the course.
Jordanian Paralympic Committee Chairman Hussein Abu Al-Ruz said: “The games bring youth together in the field of love, brotherhood and honest competition in an atmosphere of sportsmanship and fair play.”
