Unstable weather to bring scattered showers today

Unstable weather conditions are forecast for Tuesday, with a chance of light and intermittent rainfall accompanied by thunder, according to the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD).

The weather department warned of slippery roads and flooding in low-lying areas, and of low-visibility during rainfall due to dust formation in badia areas.

The weather will remain unstable on Wednesday with a chance of light rain in the early morning hours and northwesterly brisk winds.

On Thursday and Friday, moderate weather conditions will prevail in most parts of the Kingdom, while it will be relatively hot in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba.

Today, mercury levels in Amman will range between a high of 30 degrees Celsius and a low of 18C, while the port city of Aqaba will see a sizzling 35C, dipping into 23C during night.
