Two Jordanian scientists share World Academy of Sciences award

Amman, Professor of Communications and Electronics Engineering at the University of Philadelphia, Dr. Omar Dawood, and Professor Suhair Sinokrot of the Faculty of Pharmacy at Al-Zaytoonah University won the award of International Academy of Sciences (TWAS) for their significant contributions at the international level.

The results of the Rome-based TWAS 2018 were announced at the Royal Scientific Society (RSA) on Wednesday.

On a ceremony held to announce the winners, Princess Sumaya Bint Al Hassan, President of the RSA, said in a speech delivered on her behalf by the Vice President of the TWAS for the Arab Region, Dr. Mohammed Hamdan, that “scientific research in various fields of science and knowledge is the foundation of the progress of countries and the prosperity of civilizations, and is the pillar of economy to reach a comprehensive and sustainable development.”
