Two children die after drowning in pond in Aqaba

Two children aged 12 and 13 died after drowning in an agricultural pond in the al-Daisa district of the port city of Aqaba, the Civil Defence Department (CDD) reported on Monday.

It said in a statement that CDD divers retrieved the dead bodies from the pool, and transferred them to a nearby medical center.

It also urged the public to exercise extreme caution and not to swim in agricultural ponds or areas not designated for that purpose.
