Turkish Deputy Prime Minister receives Jordanian Ambassador
Amman, Deputy Prime Minister of Turkey, in charge of the economy, Mehmet Simsek, met Tuesday in Ankara, Jordan Ambassador to Turkey Ismail Rifai, for a discussion on the importance of developing mutual economic relations and addressing the current problem in the trade balance between the two countries.
Simsek spoke about Jordan’s economic difficulties due to the crises in the Middle East, adding that His Majesty King Abdullah is one of the most important leaders of the region, commending his pioneering future vision and his role in bringing about political and economic stability in the region.
He underlined the Turkish government’s support to the Jordanian people and their leadership.
In another meeting with the president and board members of the Turkish-Arab Countries Business Association (TURAB) at the Jordanian Embassy, Ambassador Rifai highlighted investment opportunities available in the Kingdom and ways to enhance trade cooperation between the two countries.
