Transport minister, Qatari ambassador discuss cooperation
Amman, Minister of Transport, Anmar Khasawneh, and Qatari ambassador to the Kingdom, Saud Bin Nasser Bin Jassim Al Thani, Monday held a meeting for a discussion on the means of enhancing cooperation in all forms of transport between Jordan and Qatar.
Khasawneh said that the Kingdom and Qatar have an agreement for land transport for passengers and goods, and an agreement on commercial maritime transport and ports, pointing out that the signing of a memo on twoway recognition of shipping certificates between Jordan and Doha, Qatar, took place during the recent royal visit to the Gulf state.
He pointed out that the two sides have an agreements on air transport services, and that the Royal Jordanian Airlines and the Qatar Airways run 17 weekly flights each in the summer season, and there is a commercial cooperation agreement on the basis of the shared code between the two companies.
The ambassador delivered a message from the Qatari Minister of Transport and Communication.
