Tourism minister discusses increasing quarantine-designated hotel rooms for expatriates

Tourism Minister, Majd Shweikeh, on Sunday met with hotel managers and owners in the Kingdom, for a discussion on the possibility of increasing the number of hotel rooms for quarantine, as part of the ongoing process of receiving and repatriating Jordanian citizens and expatriates from abroad.


During the meeting, Shweikeh discussed the latest developments regarding the novel coronavirus (Covid-19), noting that the expatriate quarantine process will take place in accordance with the established procedures and the approved protocol by the Health Ministry.


Shweikeh received comments and suggestions form the hotel managers and owners, and was briefed on the number of hotel rooms they have, which can be used in the process of repatriating citizens and expatriates from abroad.


The hotel managers and owners expressed willingness to further participate in the government’s efforts to repatriate Jordanian expatriates from abroad.
