Three new Covid-19 cases recorded in the Za’atari camp, announces official

Governor of Mafraq, Yasser Adwan, announced on Thursday, that 3 new Covid-19 cases were recorded in the Za’atari refugee camp, which hosts around 80 thousnad Syrians.

 

Speaking to “Petra,” Adwan said two infections involve citizens working in the refugee camp, while the third refers to a Syrian woman.

 

The infected woman would be transferred to the designated quarantine area in the Dead Sea, as the epidemiological investigation teams began to implement a camp-specific health protocol, according to the governor.
