The Income and Sales Tax Department (ISTD) Monday said it has established a unit tasked with sorting taxes for multinational corporations in Jordan.
Director-General of the ISTD Hussam Abu Ali said a technical committee has been formed to collate the multinational corporations’ accounts ahead of referring them to the newly established unit.
Abu Ali highlighted that the ISTD has aspired to up the skills and proficiency of its auditors and build their capacity to work with multinational corporations’ accounts as per international standards.
A new conversion price rate system no 40 of 2021 has been put in place to increase transparency in the tax system and to stymied tax evasion, Abu Ali noted.
