Slight drop in fuel prices in 3rd week of August
Amman, The Prices of oil derivatives dropped slightly during the third week of August, compared to the second week, according to data released on Monday by the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources.
They showed that the prices of unleaded 95-octane gasoline went down from $602.3 per ton in the second week to $597.8 in the third week, a decrease of 0.7 percent, while the prices of unleaded 90-octane gasoline dropped by 0.8 percent, from $567.4 to $563 per ton.
Diesel prices also fell by 0.4 percent from $560.8 per ton to $558.4, while the prices of kerosene rose by 0.5 percent, from $593.7 to $596.6, the figures showed.
The prices of liquefied gas for August stood at $362.5 per ton, according to the figures.
The ministry said that benchmark Brent crude prices increased by 2 percent in the third week of August, going up from $58.3 to $59.5 per barrel.
