Senate’s finance committee meets Indonesian counterpart

The Senate’s Finance and Economy Committee, headed by Senator Jamal Sarayreh, on Wednesday met members of its Indonesian counterpart to boost parliamentary cooperation between the two nations.

Sarayreh spoke about the importance of enhancing economic cooperation with Indonesia and discussed exporting Jordanian fertilizers in light of the current food crisis, as well as working on boosting Indonesian tourist numbers to the Kingdom, which houses religious, cultural, and archeological sites.

The Indonesian committee’s head Sudirman, in turn, said the visit aims to push bilateral ties forward in various fields, especially economic ones.

The meeting also tackled leveraging investment opportunities in both countries, namely in religious tourism.
