Senate President, Qatari ambassador discuss relations
Amman, Senate President, Faisal Fayez, on Saturday affirmed the strength of the Jordanian-Qatari relations, and the Kingdom’s keenness to boost them in all fields.
During a meeting with Qatar’s Ambassador, Sheikh Saud bin Nasser al-Thani, Fayez said bilateral ties are “historic,” and are based on mutual respect.
He underlined the importance of enhancing ties in political, economic, investment and parliamentary fields, and continuing coordination and consultation to serve common interests.
The Senate President said the current circumstances the Arab nation is experiencing call for cooperation and unity in the face of these challenges, stressing the Kingdom’s keenness on Arab unity and the unity of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries.
Jordan, under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II, is continuously seeking to promote Arab harmony and activate joint coordination, Fayez said.
