The Senate Jordanian-Iraqi Brotherhood Committee, headed by Nayef Qadi, on Wednesday, discussed with the Iraqi Ambassador to Jordan, Haider Al-Adhari, bilateral relations in various fields.
Qadi said His Majesty King Abdullah II is keen to deepen the “historic, brotherly relations,” pointing out that Jordan is aware of the diverse political, security and economic challenges that Iraqi is witnessing.
Jordan is “highly confident” in Iraq’s capability to overcome the various current hardships to reach the “desired” security for Iraq and the Middle East, according to Qadi.
Stressing the importance of developing Jordanian-Iraqi relations in the economic, political and cultural fields, Qadi voiced the “true” desire to develop investment and trade exchange between the two countries.
The envoy, for his part, valued the “fraternal” bilateral relations in all fields, praising the two countries’ cultural ties, which increased number of university students in both countries under the exchange programs.
The envoy added that his country is benefiting from the electric interconnection project with Jordan.
