The Saudi authorities have recently issued a decision to allow Jordanian citizens to perform Umrah (Lesser Pilgrimage) by land, Director General of the Pilgrimage and Umrah Department at Ministry of Awqaf, Islamic Affairs and Holy Places, Majdi Btoush, announced.
In an interview with “Petra,” on Wednesday, he said the Saudi authorities have issued the first visa for a Jordanian citizen to perform Umrah by land.
Btoush called for adhering to the health protocol implemented by the Saudi authorities, primarily in terms of receiving two Covid-19 vaccine doses and wearing face masks.
Jordanian citizens wishing to perform Umrah can apply directly to obtain visas by following the usual channels, or visiting the specialized Jordanian companies, he pointed out.
