Russia Monday said the “Northern Torrent-2” gas project that would transfer Russian gas to Germany through the Baltic Sea is due to “commence within days”.
Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov said in a press statement: “The U.S. seek to disrupt the implementation of the project, and these are attempts that would not materialise.”
He added, “The U.S. Administration has not changed its position on the Northern Torrent-2, and it still objects to the project, but they do not realise that it could not be stopped.”
