Russia reports 9 truce breaches in Syria
Amman, Russian representatives in the Russian-Turkish commission on the Syrian truce said Tuesday they had registered nine ceasefire violations over the past 24 hours, according to the Russian Defense Ministry.
According to Sputnik news, the Russian observers recorded seven firing incidents in Latakia province, one in Idlib and one in Aleppo, while the Turkish side has registered 22 violations, including one in Latakia, twelve in Aleppo and nine in Hama, the ministry announced in its daily bulletin.
The Center for Reconciliation of Opposing Sides in Syria has not carried out any humanitarian actions as of yet.
Russia and Turkey are the guarantors of a nationwide Syrian ceasefire regime that came into force on December 30, 2016 and has been holding in general, despite continued reports of violations.
