RJ wins award for Excellence in Driving Revenue

During the Aviation Festival Europe held in London recently, Royal Jordanian (RJ) was highly commended by SimpliFlying Award for Excellence in Social Media, in the “Best Airline in Driving Revenue” category, because of its innovative and targeted campaigns on social media that generate sales, RJ said in a statement.

SimpliFlying is committed to spotting the best social media practices in the aviation industry, it said.

The statement by the national carrier said RJ was nominated for the award after WestJet that won the prize due to RJ’s marketing campaigns, constant super-low fares and state-of-the-art e-services offered online.

It said that over 50 global airlines competed for the SimpliFlying Awards, granted to winners after careful evaluation by a highly esteemed jury, under five categories: Social Media, Branding, Launches, Customer Service, Driving Revenue, all assessed based on their innovativeness, engagement and business impact through their social media channels over the past year.

The RJ fan base on different social media channels has increased; it has up to 500,000 followers on the Facebook fan page, 332,000 on its Twitter account, 60,000 on Instagram and 29,000 on LinkedIn, it said.

Royal Jordanian has different open channels with its customers that enable the airline to provide the best services and know the needs of customers, through smart online sales campaigns, gaining more popularity on social media and more global recognition, the statement said.
