PSUT introduces cyber-security BA program

Amman, The Princess Sumaya University for Technology (PSUT) is introducing a bachelor’s degree in cyber-security and the 2020/2021 academic year will be the first in which the major will be taught in classes.

The major is aimed at helping students acquire skills and knowledge that are needed to analyze cyber-security issues and boost the ability to innovate, taking into consideration professional aspects and legal frameworks.

Prof. Mashhoor al-Refai, president of the PSUT, said, Sunday, the University has understood the great importance of the introducing the major due to the importance of studies and research on cyber-security, especially as the world is shifting day by day to digital economy and e-government.

He said that the introduction of the new program came as part of the University’s strategy to meet the needs of the market and to lead the technological transition in the country.
