PSD director meets Dutch envoy

Amman, Director of the Public Security Department (PSD), Maj. Gen. Fadel Hamoud, met here Thursday with Dutch Ambassador to Jordan Barbara Josias, during which they discussed ways to enhance cooperation between the security departments in the two friendly countries.

During the meeting, Hamoud said the PSD is keeping pace with modern security sciences to combat all types of crime and is keen to foster the capabilities and skills of the department’s personnel to benefit from advanced police technology.

Enhancing joint cooperation in the areas of security and exchanging experiences contribute to raising the level of security and police services, Hamoud pointed out.

For her part, the Dutch ambassador praised the distinguished level the PSD has achieved regionally and globally and highlighted its development that has enabled it to provide an umbrella of security and stability and to counter all the challenges triggered by the latest turmoil in the region during the last few years.

Josias lauded the strong relations between the two friendly countries and welcomed further cooperation and exchange of experiences with the PSD.
