Protecting patients “KHCC top priority”: Director General
Director General of the King Hussein Cancer Center (KHCC), Asem Mansour, said that protecting patients is the center’s top priority.
In the statement, Mansour said the KHCC imposes strict measures to protect patients and employees from exposure to infection through adhering to social distancing measures, wearing masks, testing visitors on center’s entrances, activating the remote clinics system and delivering medicines to patients’ homes.
On the infections, reported earlier at the KHCC, Mansour added that they involved a nurse and a physical specialist from the center’s staff, who had contact with infected members of their families at their place of residence, indicating that specialists from the infection control department and epidemiological investigation teams isolated their workplace and disinfected it according to the established protocols.
“Necessary measures were taken immediately, as potential contacts were identified, they underwent PCR test and were placed under home quarantine for 14 days, in accordance with the established protocol by the Epidemiology Committee,” Mansour noted.
