Prices of oil derivatives rise in third week of February

Amman, Oil prices rose during the third week of February compared to their prices in the second week of the same month, the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources said on Monday.

According to the Ministry, the price of 95-octane gasoline rose from $559.2 per ton to $568.8 by 1.7 per cent, while the price of 90-octane gasoline climbed by 1.4 percent from $540.3 per ton to $547.9.

Diesel prices also rose by 1.5 per cent from $496.4 per ton to $504,1, and kerosene by 1 percent from $514.2 per ton to $519.4.

The price of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) for the month of February stood at $535.

In the third week of February, benchmark Brent crude prices climbed from $55.1 to $58.7 per barrel.
