Police chief receives UAE envoy

Director of the Public Security Department (PSD) Maj. Gen. Hussein Hawatmeh Thursday discussed with the United Arab Emirates Ambassador Ahmad Balushi boosting ties and cooperation in the security field.

During the meeting, Hawatmeh pointed to bilateral cooperation in various fields of mutual interest, underlining the importance of police, security and training cooperation as it is the basis of further joint action in the future.

He pointed out that the relations and cooperation built between the public security agencies in the two countries are a reflection of the good relationship between their leaders.

He said the PSD’s training and technical capabilities serve to support development efforts and the exchange of expertise with its regional counterparts, which comes under royal directives to build bridges with Arab countries.

The UAE envoy voiced keenness on increasing cooperation through the PSD, the Gendarmerie forces, and the Civil Defense Department.

He hailed police officers advanced skill level and efficiency, pointing to the comprehensive services they provide to visitors to the Kingdom during their stay.
