PM receives Bosnia presidency chairman
Amman, Prime Minister, Omar Razzaz, on Tuesday discussed with Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bakir Izetbegovic, mutual cooperation and ways to promote relation between the two countries.
Razzaz said Jordan is looking forward to activating and strengthening the friendly relations between the two countries and promoting them in various fields.
He added that there are several opportunities to promote bilateral cooperation in various fields, especially economic, trade and tourism spheres.
The prime minister underlined the importance of coordinating positions for promoting peace and stability in the Middle East and the Balkans.
He lauded Bosnia and Herzegovina’s efforts to sustain peace and promote co-existence in the Balkans.
Izetbegovic, who currently presides over a three-president council representing the different ethnic groups in Bosnia and Herzegovina, said his country is keen on promoting mutual coordination and cooperation, praising Jordan’s pivotal role, under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah, and its efforts to enhance peace and stability in the Middle East.
Both officials reviewed means of developing economic, trade and investment relations and efforts to achieve a just and comprehensive peace in the region on the basis of a two-state solution leading to the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital, as well as regional and international efforts to fight terrorism and highlighting the true image of Islam.
