Prime Minister, Bisher Khasawneh on Sunday issued Circulars No. 35 and 36 of 2021, based on the provisions of Defense Order No. 19 of 2020.
The Prime Minister had previously issued Circular No. 34 of 2021, according to which the curfew hours were reduced to be from 11pm for individuals and from 10pm for businesses until 6am on all days of the week until further notice; with the exception of businesses Prime Minister decides that their nature of work requires otherwise.
According to the two new circulars, home delivery service at restaurants, pastry shops and pharmacies will continue to be provided until 3am, in addition to extending the closure of some sectors until further notice.
Concerning closed sectors, the Prime Minister directed the higher framework committee to deal with the impacts of the Coronavirus pandemic to study the necessary decisions regarding their gradual reopening, starting from 1/6/2021, taking into account the developments in the epidemiological situation and the vaccination process, which are the key pillar to realize a safe summer through which the government guarantees the reopening of all sectors, noting that these sectors will be announced successively during the coming period.
With regard to the working hours of public sector employees, they will remain from 8:30am until 2pm as they were before the holy month of Ramadan until further notice, with the exception of employees of government institutions that their nature of work require otherwise, which will be decided by the competent authority.
The percentage of public sector employees working in their institutions (50%) remains the same until further notice, according to the new circulars, with the exception of institutions whose work nature requires otherwise, with an emphasis on the return of employees who were previously infected with the Coronavirus and who received vaccinations to work regularly, and taking into account the conditions of mothers who have children in the first three grades and kindergartens, according to circulars and reports issued previously by the prime minister, until further notice.
